About the date: I think it is correct that the date on the translation on the news page is the date the translation was added. Later this might also be the date that appears on a rolling update of site additions. But I suggest adding the following to the bottom of the translation on the full news page: Original language text added 3 September 2011 Summary translation added 15 September 2011 If and when the full translation is added, I suggest this text: Original language text added 3 September 2011 Summary translation added 15 September 2011 Full translation added 27 September 2011 I suggest a link from 'Original language text' to that text. Then people will see what language and country the news came from. When the full translation is added, I'd like to keep the summary translation available, as it could be useful. Can we link to that too (on a new page)? Also, what about all the summary news entries on one page? (not a priority) EXTRA THOUGHT: perhaps the full translation page can have a button to click which then shows the summary text as well as the full text. This could be appear above the full text, a bit like an abstract above a full paper. Astrid: Actually, you didn't write a summary, you made your own news item - with this news as the main focus, and adding some explanations and a little SATIS advert. Hmm. I think what you wrote would be good for the SATIS site, but it isn't a summary of this news. As the text will be on the IN site, it should be the real summary. Of course, a new news item or other text added to the German version of the IN site (soon) can describe a new SATIS resource and/or explain the connection between IN and SATIS, so you can add such a text later. Do you agree? EXTRA THOUGHT: Nevertheless, explanations can be valuable and might be essential. Perhaps NCs (not any translator) should be allowed to add 'extra notes' at the bottom of any news item. If you agree, should this be part of the structure (Vadim) or just additional text? Photos and images: Yes, I am adding some today. As I've added them after your summary translation, you'll need to locate the file from the file browser. I hope this is clear from the Translate functionality.
