Levitan R, Stratton A. Improving Intubation Success Rates in a Low Volume EMS System through Best Practice Training and Performance. ANNALS OF EMERGENCY MEDICINE. 2007 Sep; 50(3):S92
Abstract
The performance of pre-hospital intubation has received significant scrutiny within EMS especially, in low volume EMS systems. Challenges for EMS systems involve frequency of procedural performance and limited training opportunities on live patients. Comparatively little attention has been focused on the method of laryngoscopy instruction and practice.
